Due to unsafe operating conditions, the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB) has temporarily discontinued rail service until weather conditions permit the safe return to full operations.

In anticipation of freezing weather conditions and impending unsafe operating conditions, the New Orleans Public Belt Railway (NOPB) has enacted its freeze plan. With safety as our primary concern, starting Tuesday, January 21st at 6:00AM, NOPB will temporarily discontinue rail service until weather conditions permit the safe return to full operations.

The NOPB emergency preparedness team will continue to closely monitor the weather. Please check our website and social media channels for the latest updates.
